It's been 9 days since we lost our loyal companion, Buster the Beagle. I got him in 2004 from a Craigslist ad, and he was my shadow ever since. It was an unexpected loss... at 11 years old he still had some spit and fire inside him, especially when it came to snuffling out the smallest morsel of food. Buster's gall bladder ruptured, and over the course of a month the bile seeping out would eat away at his other organs and eventually kill him. People coming into the shop have all been sympathetic and understanding. Pets are truly family members. I will miss him for the rest of my life.
